Wisdom Teeth Removal
Wisdom teeth may need to be extracted if they affect other teeth – often referred to as "coming in sideways" or "impacted wisdom teeth".

This failure to erupt properly may occur either because there is not enough room in the jaw for the tooth, or because of its abnormal position. Some of the problems associated with impacted wisdom teeth include: bacteria and plaque build-up, cysts development, tumour development, infection and jaw and gum disease.

If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, please make anappointment as soon as possible:

• Intense pain and soreness in the mouth (possibly radiating to the ear and/or throat)
• Infection in the mouth
• Facial swelling
• Swelling of the gumline in the back of the mouth

Tooth Extraction
At Art De Dente we do not complete extractions unless it is an absolute last resort. As an alternative to extraction, Root Canal treatment can often to performed to save an injured tooth and help it to return to health. Even if you are suffering from severe decay, there are alternative treatment options available.

Extraction can have serious repercussions such as misaligning and spreading teeth that can affect the look of your smile. We will thoroughly discuss and consider all treatment options with you prior to extraction.
